SCHOOL NEWS

AP Human Geography Exam
The Advanced Placement Human Geography Examination will be given this Friday, 16 May, in the Kell Auxiliary Gym. All AP Human Geography Exam candidates are to report to the cafeteria by 7:30 to check-in. All examinees are advised to observe the following guidelines to insure being allowed to test:
1. Bring at least TWO (2) number two pencils (with erasers) and at least ONE (1) BLACK ball point ink pen (no felt tip, gel, etc.) to the testing site. Make sure the pencils are sharpened as there will be no sharpener available and no replacements will be provided. The pencils are for use on the multiple-choice section of the test and the ink pen is for the FRQ's. (Only an ink pen is authorized for the FRQ's.)
2. No food or drink (to include water) is allowed at the testing site for the duration of the examination. If you must consume something before the administration of the test, please do so off-site.
3. No back packs or other form of luggage is allowed on site. Females are authorized to bring a small purse (to contain wallet and personal hygiene items) but oversized purses or bags are not authorized.
4. All examination candidates are to bring a picture ID and make sure you remember your social security number (if you did not include it on your pre-registration form).
5. No cellular telephones, calculators, pda's, mp3 players or any other form of electronic entertainment device is authorized in the testing room. Possession of such a device--regardless of circumstance--may be considered a testing violation and invalidate the examinees test. If you must bring any of these items to school, they are to be secured in your locker or in the cabinet in Mr. Howard's room prior to 7:30.
6. Any questions should be directed to Mr. Howard by e-mail (bruce.howard@cobbk12.org) or phone
(770) 827-2191.
This past Saturday, 10 May 2008, 71 Advanced Placement Human Geography Examination candidates participated in a practice examination. Mr. Howard applauds those students that participated in this exercise.
