Please be aware that some parents have recently received unsolicited phone calls from someone claiming to be his or her student’s Kell Counselor (in at least one incident, the person actually knew the student’s name). She is trying to sell some type of college preparation software for around $185. This is NOT a Kell High School representative and she is misrepresenting herself by claiming to be. Please protect yourselves and verify ANY company that calls you in order to sell you an item.

Kell Bands March-a-thon and Food Drive
The Kell Marching Longhorns Band will be marching six miles on August 29th to kick off the season. Come support them as they leave from the front entrance of the school at 9:30 am. Also, don’t forget to send in non-perishable donations to the MUST barrels outside of the band room.

Fall Lacrosse
Recreational teams are being formed for both boys and girls. If you are interested in participating in Fall Lacrosse, please be sure to advise the parent coaches: mkirby@oxfordinc.com (boys team) or nate.farmer@comcast.net (girls team) who will be able to provide more information about the practices, games and registration process.

Longhorns Ice Hockey
The Longhorns Ice Hockey team is looking for experienced and intermediate ice hockey players for the upcoming 2009-2010 GHSL season! Tryouts are coming up in a few weeks and games will be played at the Ice Forum in Kennesaw with practices at the Marietta Ice Complex on Lower Roswell Rd. Please see Coach Mac in the media center for more information!
