Food Drive
Kell PTSA and Center for Family Resources are partnering with the
Northeast Cobb Business Association to sponsor the
“Thanks for Giving 2009” food drive. Donated food items will be used
to create Thanksgiving Food baskets for needy families in Cobb County.
Barrels will be inside the front entrance of Kell. Click here for a list of the items needed.

Community Service Opportunity

Project 2400 Informational Meeting
Tuesday, October 27th, 6:30 pm in the Kell Auditorium
Do you need help raising your SAT score? Kell is, once again, participating in Project 2400 which provides free SAT preparation by The Princeton Review to high school Juniors. The SAT course consists of 24 hours of instruction and 3 full-length diagnostic tests. Interested families MUST attend this meeting to participate in the program. Hispanic College Fair
The National Hispanic College Fair will be held October 28th at MiddleCreek High School. Kell will be providing transportation. Please have your students sign up in the Counseling office.
 
Senior Ads
Senior Ads can now be purchased online at www.yearbookordercenter.com . The deadline for ordering a Senior Ad is October 30th. Yearbooks can also be purchased at this website.

We need your help!!
PTSA fundraising is down this year so to help make the Class of 2010 senior events special,
we are asking all Senior parents to donate $20.
Please deposit your donations in the PTSA box in the front office with “Senior Activities, Kell PTSA” on the envelope.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with the Tailgate Party. Please reply to camend@bellsouth.net if you would like to help.

DECA
Creep on into Barnes and Noble on Thursday, October 22nd from 6:30-8:30. Fun for all! Open Mic at 7:30, book discussion on New Moon. Drawings for Bull Pen prizes, 1st 25 students receive Kell Lanyards! Bake sale hosted by DECA.
 
FUNDRAISERS
 
DECA and FBLA Fundraiser
FBLA and DECA will have chances for the Hilton Head and Amelia Island vacations until the drawing on October 22nd. Please have your students come to see either Ms. Forbes or Ms. Kovachi for tickets before it’s too late. They are $3 each or 2 for only $5. This benefits both organizations. Thank you for your support.
 
ATHLETICS
 
Kell Women’s Basketball
Tryouts for the Lady Longhorn basketball teams will begin on Monday, October 26th from
6:00 - 8:00 pm in Kell’s main gym. All athletes need to have their athletic packet turned in to Coach Plant before tryouts and need to bring a water bottle to tryouts. Please see Coach Plant with any questions or concerns.
