The 411 on H1N1
Kell High School Parents
There has been some concern regarding the H1N1 (swine) influenza virus and we want to assure you that we take the health of our students and staff very seriously. The signs and symptoms of H1N1 are similar to regular flu. More information regarding the virus can be found on the Cobb County School District Website (www.cobbk12org). To date, we have had no confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus in Cobb County Schools. In the event we do have confirmed cases of H1N1, we will treat them the same as we treat cases of regular Type A influenze. We are taking precautions by teaching and encouraging staff and students to practice frequent hand washing. Additionally, our custodial staff are sterilizing classrooms and classroom furniture with an antibacterial solution. Please assist us in preventing the spread of illness by keeping your child at home for at least 24 hours when they are sick. We will continue these practices, as well as keep you informed of any developments regarding the virus.
Thank you for all you do to keep our students happy, healthy and safe!
